Born and bred in Moulton in Northamptonshire, Marek first took to the slopes at the tender age of two-years-old and from there found a passion for his sport and now, at 17, is quickly making a name for himself in the world of competitive skiing.
Marek was introduced to ski racing in 2005 when he first took part in his school’s ski team at the English Schools Ski Association (ESSKIA) Dry Slope Championships at Hemel Hempstead.
From there, in 2006, Marek joined the Ski MK race team based at the indoor snow slope in Milton Keynes where he trains with some of the top coaches in the country.
Since that time he has taken part in races all over Europe and in October 2008 Marek was invited to join the Ambition Race Team, based in Bormio, Italy where he is training alongside some of the most talented skiers in the UK.
2009 has seen Marek improve rapidly as he clinched the Under-19 British Grand Prix Series title which was held in Castleford.
