Born in Bradford David Wigley found his passion for cricket at an early age, through his time at school, and progressed through the different levels of Yorkshire Schools and Yorkshire County Cricket Club before signing his first professional contract with Yorkshire in 2001.
In 2003 David switched his attentions to study whilst playing cricket with Worcestershire and studied for a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough.
After a couple of years at Worcestershire he signed for Northamptonshire in 2005 and has since played for Wimbledon Cricket Club in the Surrey ECB Premier League and Woodhall Spa Cricket Club in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League making his debut earlier this year.
David has a keen interest in perusing new ventures when his playing days are over and has ambition to complete Level III of the ECB coaching qualification as soon as he can after already having Level II to his name.
