Happy New Year!

Well 2010 the year we have all been training for the last four years has finally come upon us and the days towards March are going quickly. 2010 was supposed to start with races in Park City on New Year’s Day but the lack of snow meant that the races were cancelled and forced a change of plan.

Instead I have been based in Winter Park training, getting some great miles under my belt and making up for the lack of training last year. It was a hard decision to not to compete in the World Cups but the aim is to make sure that we peak in March.

It also means that I now don’t have any more races before the selection date for the Paralympics. All I can do is sit back and hope that my results from the start of the season are enough.

Although confident, the anticipation is killing me and we won’t know until the 23rd. It will be a big relief once the announcement is made and my hard work has paid off.

In the meantime I am preparing for my next race in La Molina, Spain. Training is going well and I’m looking forward to racing again.
